1 out of 5 stars The worst PS3 game I've ever played!   July 22, 2010

I bought this game for my 12 year old son, and myself. This game is BAD! Graphics are bad. Gameplay is bad. Everything is bad. The pictures shown here on the game details are of the movie sequence, which really looks good. When we saw it come on my son said, "This is gonna be cool!" After giving it a try for about an hour, we havn't picked it up again and will probably trade it. The graphics on most Super Nintendo games look better and it's difficult to play to boot. Based on the other good reviews, maybe we're just too hard on it but definately not for me.

5 out of 5 stars Exciting!!   June 3, 2010

Im a huge fan of the whole human piloting giant robots thing, most notably Gundam & Evangelion, so I was dying to try out Armored Core after watching some gameplay. I was going to buy Armored Core 4 at first, until a freind advised me to buy For Answer instead, and boy am I glad I did! Armored Core For Answer has fast paced, action packed action, with over 30 missions to complete, some a peice of cake, and others hard as hell. The game allows you to have a total of four weapons, all usable on the battlefield. The biggest perk in the Armored Core franchise of games, is of course its deep customization options. You can customize every single aspect of your NEXT, from the color scheme, to the weapons, to the joints underneath, Armored Core has the robot custumization options i've been hoping to see in a Gundam game. The graphics are fantastic, and really brings the battlefeild to life, along with the awsome gameplay. This isn't just any shooter, or action adventure game, everything you do requires tactics. For instance, if you have a smaller, faster NEXT, your battle tactics should be hit and run, if you have a heavily armored NEXT with massive weapons, your battle tactics should be long range, or something of that nature. The story in Armored Core For Answer is pretty good as well. From my understanding, it takes place after Armored Core 4. Overall, Armored Core For Answer should be in the collection of any Gundam or Evangelion fan, or a fan of the giant robot genre period. 5/5.

1 out of 5 stars a game this bad...   May 12, 2010

Should not be without a single star review. For one thing ive played 11 games for the ps3 and this game has the worst special effects out of all of them. For those of you new to armed core like i was this game is very unforgiving youv got about 1 mission thats easy to beat to practice the controlls with after that this game gets HARD. They give you different teams and gadgets for the mechs which makes little sense to a beginner like me cause it doesnt seem that buying a heavier pair of leg armourment makes a huge difference when your getting blown away by difficulty.

Lots of fun to play, and lots of replayability. Haven't gotten to all the endings yet, but still having a great time.

4 out of 5 stars Reluctant to buy, but glad I did.   March 26, 2010

The title pretty much says it all. I never really got into earlier Armored Core games because they were typically slow. But the gameplay for this one has a faster pace to it.
I haven't beaten it or even close to from what I can tell, but I enjoy this. There's not much of a story-line but that isn't important, what is important is that you get to pilot a giant robot and blow up other giant robots.
