5 out of 5 stars Everything you want in an authentic pinball   August 9, 2010

An excellent value--every table is a hit, and beautifully recreated in HD for the PS3. In my opinion, an even more impressive product than the ever-popular Zen Pinball, simply because it translates exactly the feel of real pinball to the console. Simply put, the best pinball game currently available on any console, and probably the best pinball video game ever.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game!!!   July 23, 2010

I have been in love with pinball machines since I can remember. Even though you can't substitute on for the other, this is as real as you can imagine. It is fun to play.

4 out of 5 stars Great, but could be better   July 9, 2010

I'm a pinball fan, owned 10 different machines at one time, and some of them are on here. I have played most of the games on here for real, and find most of the simulations on the mark. However, I really wish there was a speed setting. By that I mean the angle of the play field (usually the whole machine -- adjusted at the feet). Medieval Madness in particular is just too darn slow. I can barely enjoy it for this reason. I think all the choices of view angles are fine, and I like that all the rules are available. I am playing this on a 480i widescreen TV (old-school), and the image does not seem to be configurable for 16x9 optimization. But perhaps this works fine on a true hi-def screen. Will know for sure in a few weeks.

Looking forward to some sequels -- there are so many good games that should be made available this way, especially the Bally collection. Please let's have Centaur, Twilight Zone, Addam's Family, Scared Stiff, Attack From Mars. I suppose anything that exploits a licensed trademark might be hard to offer. But that still leaves many other great pins.

5 out of 5 stars Settings make a big difference   July 4, 2010

We knew we'd love this pinball game because of the variety of tables and awesome graphics, but like others our first impression was that it had slow flipper response. Obviously that's a very big deal.
----SLOW FLIPPER RESPONSE FIX---
We are hooked up to a Samsung LED LCD and found that turning on GAME MODE (a setting in many flat screen tv menus) and using R1 and R2 as flippers solved the issue.

If you like pinball games this is sure to please.

5 out of 5 stars Pinball: Hall of fame   June 28, 2010
Anastacio Guerrero (USA)
I personally love pinball machines, and had to pick this title up for the PS3. I've played the PS2 version and loved the physics of the ball movement. I noticed that the game has higher image qaulity then the PS2 version, as well as 10 (in sets of 5) instead of the 5 table challenges. Which make the extra option a little harder to unlock. This version also has 5 extra tables which are fun to play. Some of these tables I have played in person, such as Whirlwind, Taxi, Funhouse, No good gofers. I would love to see more pinball games made of other tables, but I would not hold my breath, as there is not much demand for these type of games. It is a dying breed, just like the Pinball machine itself. I do know Stren still make pinball machines, just I don't know for how long. Overall if you love pinball games, you should pick this title up.
