5 out of 5 stars One of my favorite PS3 games   September 1, 2010
Ratchet&Spank (USA)
I've had this game since the day it came out and absolutely love it. If you download a Link mod (or make your own!) off the offical website[...]
and switch the camera to angle B, it's just like playing an old Zelda game. My only complaint is that if you miss an item in one of the temples you're going to get stuck and have no idea what to do next. Luckily, IGN has a good walkthrough in case that happens. [...]

This is a game that was made for the old school gamer, like myself, who grew up in the days when NES & SNES reigned supreme. Ironically, as much as 3DDGH uses old ideas from the past, it's actually a very unique game in todays market. There's a whole legion of kids who grew up on Halo who have never played anything like this before. They just don't make em' like they use to. PS3 owners should not miss out on this gem.

3 out of 5 stars Flashback to the Wack   August 25, 2010

There's a lot of respect I have for this game. The tilt-shift art style is absolutely terrific.

The one thing that this game is not, is fun. I get the in game references, but in being so determined to revisit the past in gaming they forgot to be innovative. They really could have taken the concept much further, but ultimately it played a little too much like 20 years ago.

4 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for ..   August 24, 2010

I bought this game for $30 which is the best price for a game like that ,, dont get me wrong the game is awesome and will get you playing for hours and hours with tons of items to get and places to discover ,, and the graphic are very very good and a bit different ,, however you should know that this game is actually a -ripoff that i would rather say its a remake- of an old SNES zelda game .. even though i haven't played that game i can surely say that it got most of the elements with a little sense of humor,, my only issue is its difficulty ,, this game is frustratingly hard ,, i spend a whole day trying to kill a boss or finish a temple ,, and that can make it boring after a while ,,

+ customizable character/ in game screenshots
+ minigames "tower defense/races/and many more
+ tons of weapons and collectible items
+ amazing graphics
+ its a zelda game
+ boss battles are creative
+ very very funny dialogs
+ sword upgrading FTW
+ half the price of a regular game "with about 100% what u would find in a $60 game"

+/- alot of side missions "some are boring coz they require a lot of traveling"

- the map is almost useless
- traveling between towns is boring
- frustratingly hard
- so many missable things "guide required"
- been there done that feeling

5 out of 5 stars Nostalgia and humor   August 22, 2010

If you're an Atlus fan, a fan of the old Zelda games, or any of the 8-bit RPG titles you'll love this game. A lot of the monsters are pulled straight out of the old Zelda games. All of the dialogue is very humorous and has a lot of inside jokes for old gamers and Atlus fans. Throw in the awesome huge sword mechanics and mini games throughout, this game is a must have for fans of all of this. But younger gamers will probably be put off by the graphics and difficulty. I love this game

4 out of 5 stars Real 3D gaming!!!!   August 5, 2010

This game its pretty funny, the story its hilarious and the gameplay its classic and fun. I played for hours without notice the time, but first you need to not take the game so serios because not even the game itself do it.
Just play like in the old times when you were a kid and you dont mind any but to have fun, dont expect great grafics, originality (more than in the story), deep mechanics or any characteristics of big budget games. Its a 15 hours adventure (with probably 35 more in sidequest) of hard a direct fun, just that, and remember this is 3D gaming ha ha ha ha ha ha (thats just kiddin, its not real 3D).
