UFC Undisputed 2010 is a fighting game that places players in the iconic mixed martial arts fighting cage, known as the octagon, with the most devastating MMA fighters to be found in the UFC. As with the original UFC 2009 Undisputed game, action plays out in one-on-one fights in which the player, utilizes a mix of fighting styles which are balanced between striking techniques—a standing game—and grappling techniques—a ground game. Because the strength, experience and fighting style of opponents will vary, it is important to develop both a standing and ground game in order to defeat opponents by knockout, submission or by a decision depending on an opponent's weakness and/or the opportunities encountered during a match. The game features representations of more than 100 top name UFC fighters, each of which utilizes fighting styles representative of the actual fighter. Along with this realism, the game contains customization options that allow the player to create a fighter of their own with various styles, and/or attire and tattoos. Additional features new to UFC Undisputed 2010 include: the addition of Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling fighting styles; the ability to switch to a southpaw stance at any time; new strikes, submissions, transitions; the ability to change submissions mid-attack; an enhanced Career Mode; and improved online play allowing for 16-player tournaments, online fight camps, co-op sparring and more. PlayStation 3 players of UFC Undisputed 2010 enjoy additional exclusive content. This includes 3 exclusive Legends fighters - Royce Gracie, Jens Pulver, Dan Severn; some of the greatest fights in UFC history on Blu-ray; and five exclusive Ultimate Fights for play in Ultimate Fights Mode. Ultimate Fights Mode is the evolution of UFC 2009's Classic Fights Mode allowing players to relive some of the more memorable fights in UFC history. Players can play the mode as a single player experience in an attempt to unlock content associated with each fight or play as a two-player experience, squaring off against friends with special presentation and commentary elements. The game is much more difficult than the 2009 version, but the gameplay has significantly improved and the graphics are awesome.

ok this game says u can do all these styles in carrer mode but u can not you can only doing boxing it doesnt even let u kick or grapple im mad about this cuz i ran to the store to buy it and its not what it seemed liked you fight other ufc fighters and theres no way to beat them cuz u can only punch your fighter has no grappling skills no muay thai skills u can punch but theres no power in ur punches cuz u have no cardio i hate this game! where is the ulimate fighter guys they promised you roy nelson isnt even in the game brock lesnar sucks why is he on the cover? dont waste your money on this crap trust me

I bought this for my hubby as a birthday present. He loves it. Personally, it drives me nuts because he spends so much time getting the character ready and not actually playing the game. The music just keeps repeating over and over and over and over while he is choosing dumb things like what the guy will look like and what he is going to wear and what tattoos the guy will have. BLEH! BORING! Not much action in choosing the character and all the specifics. I would rather him keep playing his Modern Warfare game because there is a heck of a lot more action going on with that game! Then again this is a woman's perspective...lol

UFC Undisputed 2010 is a good game. It's an engaging game, and the sophomore entry by THQ in the Undisputed series of MMA-themed games. This game has a well-rounded structure. The career mode is fairly straight-forward, with little to do on the sidelines between fights, aside from training/sparring and attending public activities to increase your reputation. Stat decay is very easily avoided if you balance your training efforts between sparring/training and keeping your eye on stats that will decay if they are being neglected. Ultimate Fights mode is a fun way to re-enact real UFC bouts, and you earn some spiffy videos for replicating the fight as efficiently as possible. You can create PPV cards, which is also pretty entertaining. The online is filled with lag. It is so bad that I have not tried to play online in a month. When you finally do find a decent match, your opponent will spam elbows and takedowns for the entire fight. The graphics are good, but not great. The animations are horrid compared to other fighting games (FNR4, EA Sports MMA [even as it is unfinished]), but acceptable for a THQ game. No major improvements were implemented from last year's title, just minor tweaks, further proving that carrying a UFC / Zuffa logo can push copies more than game development. The ground game is okay and the striking is good (save the elbow & takedown spams, as well as the lack of fluid combinations after 2 strikes). I enjoyed this game for about a month and a half, and since then I play it once every week for a few fights and move on to Fight Night Round 4. Hopefully EA can fix up THQ's problems in EA Sports MMA. THQ did a commendable job with the Undisputed series, but it is time for a more skilled and experienced company to take the reigns and perfect the MMA-style games. But hey, you can also use Shaq-Fu. What more could you ask for?

UFC 2010 is a beautiful and high detail game. The controls are difficult as best to learn and could be a lot simpler. Past the controls the game is beautiful. I the fighters look just as they do in real life and the career makes you real care about your created fighter. Over all this game is a success but given a couple tweaks and slight improvements this game could be easily a 5 star game.
